  These are not customer friendly people, the peameal bacon had so much fat on it, told the waitress, and she told the owner, and the waitress told us the owner said that's the way it comes! We go to breakfast joints all over Brantford, never seen such a low quality peameal bacon served like this before. The owner didn't even have the courtesy to come talk to us, very chicken ass. We will never go back to this place again, not recommended...

  The service time was quick from being greeted at the door and sitted to having our waitress at our table which earned the star. However unforunately for dinnertime it was terrible after that starting with cold soup and then luke warm entrees at best.
  
  Missing items and improperly cooked food made for more work for our waitress so not her fault but whoever was in the kitchen probably should not be there or perhaps it was a very off night
  
  As we had to be other places that evening We didnt have all night for them to make it right. Ranks as my worst meal of this year thus far and still cost us $50 with a tip. Hopefully they get the food part right as its a cool and clean place besides that!!

  Good food, good atmosphere. A couple local craft beers on tap, which is nice. Recommend the wings and burgers (housemade and you can tell). Live music was cool and not too loud. A great place to take a date where you can talk and relax.

  This was our first and last visit to Ben's Kitchen and Bar. We were hoping for a tasty, hot meal and were very disappointed. Our server was excellent and took our order right away. And then we waited. And waited. When the food finally arrived it was cold. The hamburger bun was straight from the refrigerator, and the chips were cold. My husband's pot pie was also cold and had paper (!) in it, the vegetables were cold as well. We informed our server, who was extremely apologetic. Upon leaving we politely complained to the owner, who seemed completely unconcerned and unwilling to even attempt to make things right. He glibly said "sorry you didn't have a good experience" - but it was evident he didn't care at all. He didn't seem to believe that my husband had paper in his pot pie, and asked if he had shown it to our server? There were only two other tables of 2 people each when we were there. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, ever.
